Branches Booknook was born from a shared love of books between Kim and Gabby, a mother-daughter duo who have always believed in the power of literacy.

They opened Branches Booknook in January, and it has been such a joy to watch their little bookshop grow. Tucked into a cozy corner, Branches is filled with stories they love—and hope you’ll love, too.

Kim has spent years immersed in the world of books. From selling Usborne Children’s Books and helping run her kids’ Scholastic book fairs, to hosting an after-school children’s book club (and now an adult one, too), books have always been a big part of her life. Kim is a lifelong reader who loves nothing more than discovering a wonderful book and sharing it with others.

Gabby is currently away at college studying writing, with dreams of one day seeing her own books on the shelves of bookstores just like Branches Booknook.

For now, Kim is keeping the Booknook running on her own, and every visit, conversation, and book purchase means so much. Supporting an independent bookstore helps keep a love of books—and a sense of community—alive.
